Food and Water Filters Distributed to 120 Chepang Families in Raksirang
Hosanna Sewakai Nepal organized a community support program in Kutasin, Raksirang Rural Municipality–5, Makwanpur, providing food supplies and water filters to 120 Chepang families. The initiative was carried out in response to the needs of the local community, particularly those living in remote and underserved areas.
The food and water filters were distributed in the presence of Giribahadur Tamang, Minister for Health and Social Development of Bagmati Province. The program brought together local representatives, health officials, community members, and other stakeholders committed to improving the well-being of the Chepang community.
Alongside the relief distribution, Hosanna Sewakai Nepal conducted a two-day health camp to provide healthcare services and increase health awareness among local residents. Volunteer doctors from the United States were also involved in providing health services to communities where access to specialized healthcare remains limited.
As part of the initiative, local residents were also provided with information and practical guidance on how to use the water filters. The distribution of water filters aims to promote access to safer drinking water, improve hygiene practices, and help reduce the risk of waterborne diseases.
Speaking at the program, local representatives and government officials emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to improve healthcare and development opportunities in Raksirang.
